TAS and Diversity

Dear Valued Member,

You will soon receive an invitation from The Advocates' Society to participate in a demographic survey of the Society’s membership. The survey has been designed to help the Society gain a better understanding of its membership, with the goal of becoming a more inclusive and representative association.

The Society's Board of Directors established a Diversity Task Force last year with a mandate to promote equity, diversity and inclusion within the Society. The Society has since retained Anima Leadership to support the work of the Diversity Task Force. Anima Leadership will conduct a statistical profile of the Society's membership, evaluate and identify diversity initiatives and help develop a diversity statement.

Our survey will be conducted from May to June (start and end dates to be finalized). The data collected from the survey is anonymous and will be compiled to create a snapshot of the Society's membership so that we can better understand who our members are and how best to implement diversity and inclusion initiatives.

We know you all have many demands and we thank you in advance for your support. We simply cannot obtain comprehensive and accurate data on our membership without your input. The more people who complete the survey, the better we will be able to accomplish these goals.

Please refer to the following Frequently Asked Questions. If you have any further questions (or ideas) before we launch the survey, please feel free to contact James Beaton at Anima Leadership directly: james@animaleadership.com.
Thank you very much for helping The Advocates' Society with this important initiative!
