Your Profession and the Future of Lawyer Licensing

Join us for an evening of discussion regarding the future of the lawyer licensing process and new changes very recently approved by the Law Society of Ontario (LSO).

After extensive province-wide consultation and a comprehensive review of the licensing process, the LSO has decided to retain the two current transitional pathways of articling and the Law Practice Program (LPP), with enhancements that include: a required salary for articling and LPP work placements, enhanced oversight over articling and LPP work placements, and mandatory training for articling principals and LPP work placement supervisors.

Our panelists will include those who were actively involved in the consultation process. Come hear their perspectives on how the changes will affect your profession.
