Please note that this program is only open to participants of the November 15th plenary session of
Mastering Winning Discovery Techniques.
Participants of the
Mastering Winning Discovery Techniques plenary session are also eligible to join us for our hands-on skills workshop, with in-person and Zoom options available. The workshop is your chance to practise and refine your examination-for-discovery skills in a supportive environment. You will be asked to prepare and present a slice of an examination-for-discovery on behalf of either the plaintiff or defendant, and will practise asking for undertakings, the production of additional documents and different discovery techniques. You will also have the opportunity to play the role of witness’s counsel and will practise making objections and refusals, where appropriate. You will then get practical, individualized feedback on your performance from our trained instructors and will learn from your peers as you work through the interactive exercises in small groups.
Please note that the workshop requires advance preparation based on a mock case file, which will be provided to you in advance of the workshop. Please ensure that you set aside enough time to prepare for the workshop, which may take up to a half-day to prepare for, depending on your level of experience.
COVID-19 Protocols:
